Air-Con Recharge and Service Wrocław — Price and Online Booking

An air-con recharge in Wrocław costs roughly from about 150 zł for the older R134a refrigerant and from about 300 zł for the newer R1234yf, while a full service with disinfection is usually 250–500 zł, depending on the refrigerant type and the scope of work. The price difference comes mainly from the type of refrigerant your car needs. An air-con service covers not just “topping up the gas” but also a leak check, compressor oil change and disinfecting the system. At Brutalny Podnośnik on Grabiszyńska 241 we do it on a Bosch station, with F-gas qualifications, and you can book online in a few minutes. Below you'll find the exact prices, the service process and tips on when the air-con is due for attention.

How much does an air-con recharge cost in Wrocław?

Indicative prices (Wrocław, 2026):

  • Air-con recharge with R134a refrigerant (cars up to about 2017) — from approx. 150–250 zł.
  • Recharge with R1234yf refrigerant (newer cars) — from approx. 300–450 zł; the refrigerant is much more expensive.
  • Disinfection / system cleaning (ozone or agent) — approx. 80–150 zł.
  • System leak check (nitrogen or UV test) — approx. 100–200 zł when the air-con is losing refrigerant.
  • Full service (recharge + oil and drier change as needed + disinfection) — roughly 250–500 zł.

The biggest price factor is the type of gas: R1234yf, used in newer cars, is several times more expensive than R134a, so servicing a new car costs more. We give the exact price after checking which refrigerant your car needs — you can also check this in our piece on when to recharge the air-con.

Prices are indicative

The final price depends on the refrigerant type, how much has leaked and the scope of work (disinfection alone or a full service). When you book online we'll pick the right service for your model straight away.

What does a full air-con service cover?

  1. Recovery of the old refrigerant and oil with the Bosch station, plus measuring how much was actually in the system (the first sign of a leak).
  2. Leak check — if the system was losing refrigerant, we find the cause so we don't recharge a “leaky” system.
  3. Changing the compressor oil and, if needed, the drier, and topping up the UV tracer.
  4. Filling with the correct amount of refrigerant per the manufacturer's plate.
  5. Disinfecting / cleaning the evaporator and ducts to remove the bad smell and bacteria.
  6. Function test — measuring the outlet temperature and checking the pressures.

When to recharge the air-con? The most common signs

  • The air-con cools less well or blows warm air despite the maximum settings.
  • An unpleasant, musty smell when it starts — a sign it needs disinfection.
  • The windows take longer to demist than usual.
  • It's been 1–2 years since the last service (refrigerant escapes naturally, about 10–15% a year).
  • The compressor runs loudly or cuts in unevenly.

Don't top up refrigerant “from a can”

Home recharge kits without a leak and pressure check can overfill the system and damage the compressor. Handling refrigerant also requires F-gas qualifications — which is why air-con is always done at a service centre.

Air-con disinfection — ozone or Bosch?

Disinfection removes bacteria and fungi from the evaporator, which cause the bad smell and can trigger allergies. An ozone generator reaches the whole cabin and the ventilation ducts, while the agent method cleans the evaporator directly. In practice a combination of both works best, done alongside the air-con service — once a year, ideally in spring before the season.

Why have your air-con serviced with us

We work on a Bosch station with F-gas qualifications, so the refrigerant is recovered and dosed by the rules, not “by eye”. We handle both refrigerants — R134a and R1234yf — and check for leaks along the way, so we don't recharge a system that will just escape. We do it all at Grabiszyńska 241 in Wrocław, with easy access from Grabiszyn, Krzyki and Fabryczna.

How to book an air-con service online

You can book online in a few minutes — you choose the service (recharge, full service, disinfection) and the slot, and we'll match the scope to your car. You'll find more about the service itself on the Bosch air-con service page, and if you're unsure about timing, check when it's best to recharge the air-con.

How much does an air-con recharge cost in Wrocław?

Roughly from 150–250 zł for R134a refrigerant and from 300–450 zł for R1234yf, because the newer refrigerant is much more expensive. A full service with disinfection is usually 250–500 zł. We give the exact price after checking which refrigerant your car needs.

What’s the difference between R134a and R1234yf?

They're two different refrigerants. R134a is in cars roughly up to 2017, R1234yf in newer ones. R1234yf is more eco-friendly but several times more expensive, so servicing a newer car costs more. They must not be mixed.

How often should the air-con be serviced?

Refrigerant escapes naturally at about 10–15% a year, so a service and disinfection are worth doing every 1–2 years, ideally in spring before the season. If the air-con cools less well or you notice a smell, don't wait.

What is disinfection and is it necessary?

It's disinfecting the evaporator and ducts, removing the bacteria and fungi responsible for the bad smell that can trigger allergies. Worth doing once a year, especially when you notice a mustiness when the air-con starts.

Can I top up the refrigerant myself from a kit?

We advise against it. Home kits without a pressure check can overfill the system and damage the compressor, and handling refrigerant requires F-gas qualifications. It's safer and cheaper in the long run to have it done at a service station.
